Any student participating in soccer must turn in a completed physical before participating in any practice or competition. The New Jersey Department of Education Athletic Pre-Participation form is available at the nurse's office in school or it is available online at:

Blue Devils Have Successful Soccer Season

This year’s soccer season has proven to be very successful for the Blue Devils. With the regular season coming to a close, the girls have an impressive record of 10 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie. The team, led by Ms. Lenaghan, has improved tremendously from last year, with the return of many players, as well as the addition of some new freshmen.
Although the girls have had many well-played games, the victories against Bayonne High School and Holy Family Academy have been two of the best. Freshman Sarah Kelly scored off of a pass from junior Lauren Tredo to give the team an incredible 1-0 win over Bayonne. Even more rewarding of a win was the triumph over school rival, Holy Family Academy. After giving up a goal in the first half, the Blue Devils came back with a 2-1 win due to goals scored by sophomore Ceci Sabbers and senior Lauren Silverman.
Individually the team members have had an accomplished season. The defense has done a great job, playing aggressively all year. Goalkeeper Julie Lipyanka has had over 70 saves. She has only given up 18 goals, and has a total of 7 shut-outs for the season. The offense has also proven to be strong, scoring 29 goals this year.
All of the team’s hard work has paid off. The playoffs are quickly approaching, and the girls will be playing yet again. The players have been practicing and preparing for their most important games to date. With what the girls have already accomplished, they appear to have promising achievements to come.
